Helping me make my house payment!
I have two purposes to having my house set up for scrapping, stamping and crafting. First and foremost, it's a passion of mine. I love doing all sorts of crafts, but it's often difficult to do when you are at home and there are a million other things to do. Plus, crafting is a lot more fun when it's with the girls!
Second, this house was my first home. It has a special place in my heart. When my final child graduates high school, my husband and I would like the option of moving back into the house full-time. When our last renters left the house trashed, my husband and I put thousands of dollars into fixing it back up, but didn't have the heart to rent it out again to someone who would trash it, so we thought we'd sell it. Again, my heart wasn't in it. Something tells me to keep this house because it's so much a part of our past, and may be a big part of our future.
So, we thought, I could have my very own craft house where I could go work on my projects and invite friends and fellow crafters to join me! In order to keep my house, I charge a fee to use all my products (which are lots!) and help me make my house and utilities payment. My goal is to spend one or two weekends or crafternoons there a month. This will help me put a big dent in my many unfinished scrapbook projects, and a little dent in what I have to pay each month to keep my house!
You will notice that I do have minimums listed for me to go up to the house. That's because my other house is over 50 miles away. With the cost of gas and air conditioning/heating, I need to ensure that my utilities are covered. While I absolutely love sharing my house with you, I can't be there every weekend or my husband would disown me!
Lastly, most of you staying with me at the house will be people I know from various clubs, meet ups, etc. However, I love to meet new people and you need a place to craft, let's meet each other! Some of my best friends are people I've met at other scrapping, crafting and stamping events!
